I bought PD 15, then updated to 16 Ultimate largely because of the advertised mult- camera synchronization capabilities. Shooting with at least three cameras, two on separately positioned tripods for different points of view, and a third, in-hand, to focus on particular performers and their playing/singing is the recommended practice for such events, at which extreme discretion and quiet over extended periods are required, and an additional backup camera mounted in tandem has also proved a good way to deal with 30 minute recording limits, battery and card capacities, "sleep" and shutdowns. I synch, these with WAV files from a digital recorder in order to do fairly straightforward assembly editing. Presently I use a Panasonic G85 producing 4K MP4 files, an Olympus EM1mk2 producing 4K.Mov files, an Olympus OM5ii and a Pen F producing HD MOV files, all using H.264 codecs, but the G85 with an "AAC" suffix, and the three Olys with "linear PCM, Timecode" suffix. My most important video is recording the live recording concerts of solos and small group classical, shot with several cameras*.
